Consider QR codes as paper links connecting the offline and internet worlds. Mobile devices are by nature mobile, and useful and engaging mobile application services enable users to make the most of their time while on the go, drawing an increasing number of mobile users to engage in them.

For example, through a mobile app, users can find the nearest Starbucks, place an order and pay for it with their cell phone – the result: 7 million downloads and 22% profit growth (Christina Talley, 2020).
